Driver Escapes Injury in Roll Over

Comments Off

During the morning commute hours, a one-car crash on the New York State Thruway, left one car banged up but the driver uninjured, said Syracuse state police.

At approximately 9 a.m. the driver of car that was heading east, just a mile from the Herkimer exit, lost control of his car, leaving the roadway and overturning in a ditch. The driver emerged uninjured after being trapped inside the vehicle until the rescue crew could extract him.

At this time the accident is still under investigation but icy roads most likely played a part in the accident, Syracuse police said.
